Ala Moana Center, which holds the title as the world’s largest open-air shopping center, marks its 60th anniversary on Aug. 13. To commemorate the anniversary, more than 60 of the shopping center’s stores and restaurants have specialty items, gifts with purchase or discounts on offer throughout July and August.
Commemorative items and deals include a colorful, attractive Koi Long Box from Big Island Candies, pictured, filled with shortbread cookies, a brownie and macadamia nut toffee; $18.50.
Kate Spade offers an exclusive design for a stylish, two-toned shoulder bag from the Nicola line, by the clothing and accessory company’s top designer, for $368.
Spend $300 throughout the mall and show your receipts to get a 60th anniversary wine stopper from the center. Or take a stroll to the Tiffany store to check out/take a selfie inside the pop-up “This is Tiffany T” installation, inspired by the jeweler’s logo and lined with reflective surfaces.
