In the Letters to the Editor, you have done a good job of giving equal space to opinions pro and con regarding the Thirty Meter Telescope.
For the sake of broader education, I suggest devoting more column inches and photos to the TMT and how it might benefit the world.
You could include information about its leaders, its goals, why they choose one location over another, and how astronomy adds value.
