The turnout and the solidarity of the protesters on Mauna Kea is impressive. And their urgent message to protect and cherish our Earth, our aina, comes at such an opportune time.
Our Earth is sacred everywhere and under threat everywhere.
We have abused and exploited her, often unwittingly, but the fact remains: Our planet is hurting and we humans must respond quickly and compassionately.
Our Hawaiians are setting the example, and taking the lead. Imua!
