Letter: Tulsi Gabbard should cast votes like other reps

THE NEW YORK TIMES

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) spoke to a reporter after the close of the first Democratic presidential debate in Miami on June 26.

Did anyone notice? In “How your lawmakers voted” (Star-Advertiser, July 1), three out of four Hawaii members of Congress represented their constituents by voting.

We all know where Tulsi Gabbard is: She is running for president. Who is representing her constituents?

She doesn’t care if she loses; she has a job to go back to. She should represent the citizens of Hawaii and do whatever else not job-related on her own time.
