Craig Norris has joined Bank of Hawaii as senior executive vice president and chief credit officer within the credit division and has become a member of the bank’s managing committee.

Norris is responsible for ensuring the bank’s credit risk is aligned with the bank’s strategic plan and risk appetite. He oversees commercial and consumer credit approval, appraisal services, policy and procedure framework, ongoing loan portfolio management, problem loan resolution and training.

Norris joined Bank of Hawaii with over 35 years of expertise in credit risk management. Since 2016 he was executive vice president and chief credit officer at American Savings Bank, where he was also a member of its management committee.

“He is a proven leader and is highly qualified. I’m pleased to have found his caliber of skill locally, as Craig steps into a role that we have been looking to fill for some time,” said Peter Ho, Bankoh chairman, president and CEO.

Bank of Hawaii has announced the following:

>> Scott Kami is the new vice president and foreign exchange and money market manager at Bank of Hawaii’s Treasury Division. Kami has nearly 35 years of finance and treasury operations experience, including 16 years as finance manager of Hawaii Housing Finance & Development Corp. and 18 years as an administrator for the state Department of Budget and Finance.

>> Mary Lee Young has been promoted to vice president from assistant vice president at Bank of Hawaii and will also continue to serve as an IT manager in the bank’s Data & ETL Administration division. She has 19 years of experience serving as a systems analyst and developer for Bank of Hawaii. Prior to working for the bank, Young was a systems programmer for the engineering department at NCR in Columbia, S.C., for more than nine years.
