Gov. David Ige has signed off on legislation establishing a “stadium development district,” which could spur progress toward replacing Aloha Stadium. It taps the Hawaii Community Development Authority, which oversees Kakaako’s transformation, to serve as the stadium site’s development arm.
There’s now potential to transform the aging stadium and underutilized surrounding acreage into a lively, lucrative hub of commercial and residential activity. Two years ago, local federal agencies agreed to lift long-standing restrictions on economic activity on the land, clearing the way for this mixed-use future.
E-signatures not ready for prime time

Crabtree found there is no way to confirm the digital signatures, so the petitioner, businessman Tracy Yoshimura, said he plans to refile.
This case aside, at some point there needs to be a way to accept virtual signatures — given the online ways of the world.
