As I drive along the highways, I have noticed an ever-increasing amount of litter. It varies from paper, in all forms, to tires, whole bags of trash and more.
I don’t know why people feel so entitled to just toss their rubbish out onto the roadside.
Thank goodness for Adopt-A-Highway programs that help; however, there are only a few of those programs on Oahu. Our beautiful state is being desecrated by this abundance of roadside litter.
What is so difficult about holding on to Styrofoam cups, food containers, plastic bags, disposable diapers and other rubbish until you reach a trash can? Roadside litter is a real eyesore and it is getting worse.
For crying out loud, our beautiful state is becoming a garbage dump. Please malama our aina.
