From time to time, articles such as, “Ige signs ‘red flag’ gun bill” (Star-Advertiser, June 28) and letters to the editor challenging the constitutionality of that law appear in the Star-Advertiser.
It seems to me that it would be helpful to print the Second Amendment exactly as the Founding Fathers wrote it: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
What did they intend when they wrote, “A well regulated Militia,” etc.?
