Who doesn’t love a good all-out Nerf war? Grab a Nerf Blaster — or choose from a variety of other foam-based weaponry — and have a blast of a battle at Pups of War, which has arenas in Kapolei and at Windward Mall.
A new arena will open this summer at Pearlridge Center.
Pups of War was founded last year using Nerf as a vehicle to fill a need for physical activity and social interaction among kids. Its toy armory is periodically updated and its outdoor/indoor arenas include colorful obstacles and hideouts, such as playhouses. The indoor arenas feature padded floors.
Pups of War operations manager Paulo Salas said one of the coolest things is seeing parents playing with their children and really getting into the experience.
“Family fun is the primary thing,” Salas said.
Pups of War is open for walk-on play, as well as parties and other events. There is a mobile service, as well.
