CBS renews ‘Hawaii Five-0’ for 10th season

CBS announced today the renewal of six more drama series, including “Hawaii Five-0,” for the 2019—2020 broadcast season.

“Hawaii Five-0,” currently in its ninth season, hits 10.1 million total viewers.

The contemporary take on the classic series about an elite federalized task force combatting crime in the Hawaiian isles has maintained its appeal as it’s renewed for a 10th season. The show’s executive producers are CBS Television Studios’ Peter Lenkov, David Wolkove, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci,

Alex O’Loughlin stars as Detective Steve McGarrett, with Scott Caan as Detective Danny “Danno” Williams, and a task force made up of Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia), Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride), Adam Noshimuri (Ian Anthony Dale), Tani Rey (Meaghan Rath) and Junior Reigns (Beulah Koale). Local actors featured in the show include Taylor Wily (Kamekona), Dennis Chun (Sgt. Duke Lukela) and Kimee Balmilero (Dr. Noelani Cunha).

Other drama series returning to the CBS lineup next season include: “Seal Team,” “S.W.A.T.,” “Madam Secretary,” “Bull” and “MacGyver.”
