We felt really moved to send this letter, on Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s truly heartfelt and aloha-love filled emotional speech delivered at the 90th Lei Day last Tuesday. You, sir, brought tears to our eyes. You really spelled out what makes Hawaii our favorite place in the whole wide world to visit and become honorary citizens for three weeks.
It wasn’t just about the flora and fauna, but the true essence of the spirit of aloha and the richness of your citizens. Mahalo from two star-struck Canadians from East Vancouver.
