A 35-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man, both tourists, were charged Friday with allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting another tourist in Waikiki on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old victim was on vacation with her partner when they befriended one of the suspects, a woman named Nagisa Dorch, according to a Honolulu Police Department report.

Around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dorch, a Japanese national, reportedly took the victim up to her Waikiki hotel room. Dorch and her husband, Darrell Dorch, allegedly held the woman against her will until about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shortly after midnight police arrested the suspects about an hour apart at the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel Resort. Nagisa Dorch was charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault. Darrell Dorch was charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of attempted first-degree sexual assault, and kidnapping, according to HPD Lt. Mark Matsusaka.

The suspects’ bail was set at $300,000 and $500,000, respectively. As of 2 p.m. they had not been released, police said.

Matsusaka said additional charges are pending.

Police did not disclose where the suspects and victim are from, how the woman managed to get free or any other details of the case.
