Punahou and ‘Iolani were not interested in sharing at the ILH tennis championships on Wednesday.
The Buffanblu swept the boys and girls singles titles while the Raiders won both the boys and girls doubles titles as all four finals went three sets at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Punahou’s Leyton Ramos, the No. 2 seed, knocked off Mid-Pacific’s Andrew Chiang, the No. 4 seed, in the boys final by rallying in the final two sets 6-4, 7-5 after losing the opener 4-6. Chiang was the only player in the tournament to take Ramos to three sets and made the final after beating teammate Joshua Kim, the top seed, 6-7 (5), 6-3.
Top seed Clarise Huang, a two-time defending state doubles champion, dropped only one set before beating Mid-Pacific’s Annika Alcon 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to claim the ILH girls singles title.
Alcon was equally as dominant as Huang entering the final, dropping only one set in the third round and winning her other matches 6-0, 6-0.

Top seed Robert Chang and Scott Yamamoto of ‘Iolani defeated second-seeded Kailuhia Lam and Cade Fujitani of Punahou 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 to claim the boys doubles crown, while Celeste Inouye and Denby Nagata of Iolani defeated Punahou’s Alexis Matsunaga and Megan Flores 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 in the girls doubles finals at the ILH tennis championships on Wednesday.
Inouye, a senior, paired with Nagata, a freshman, to knock off teammates Gabriela Siaosi and Mari Kwee, the top seed, 7-6 (10), 6-4 in the semifinals on Tuesday.
They had to beat the Nos. 1, 3 and 5 seeds to claim the doubles crown.
O’Neill and Wu were going for their second straight doubles crown for Punahou, which had won the last three overall.
‘Iolani won the boys doubles for the fourth time in the past five years.
