A sunset screening of “Incredibles 2” on the beach caps off an action-packed, superhero-themed afternoon at the Ko Olina Children’s Festival, Saturday at Ko Olina Resort. The day will be filled with arts-and-crafts activities, superhero booths, face painting, balloon twisting, sun and beach safety tips, and entertainment by the Tonga Sisters and Aulani’s Ohana Hula show with Disney friends.
“All ohana are invited to join the fun,” said Sweetie Nelson, director of destination marketing at Ko Olina Resort. “This festival is one you won’t want to miss.”
Highlights include an interactive percussion studio, mermaid storytime and “Hometown Heroes” component, where keiki can learn about good citizenship from the Honolulu Police Department, participate in drills by the Honolulu Fire Department and take part in a 10-minute Navy SEALS boot camp, complete with training gear and face paint.
All ticket proceeds will benefit Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.
