Once again the Star-Advertiser disappoints. You should be running a story on Matson’s shipping monopoly on our islands and the effect it has on the prices we pay for everything, from the food we eat to every stitch of clothing on our backs.
Instead you run a puff piece extolling its latest equipment purchases bought at the expense of Hawaii residents, who have the highest cost of living in the nation (“Matson raises its game,” Star-Advertiser, April 17). You sound like a plantation paper.
