Halepuna Waikiki, the former Waikiki Parc Hotel, begins taking reservations
Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani, the former Waikiki Parc Hotel, has begun taking reservations for a fall opening.
Waikiki Parc closed Oct. 1, 2018, to complete a $60 million renovation. The new Halepuna Waikiki and Halekulani hotel, its sister property across the street, are owned and managed by the Halekulani Corp., whose parent company is Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd.
The 284-room Halepuna Waikiki started taking online reservations today for stays beginning October 25, 2019. Daily rates will range from $350 to $1,100.
The majority of Waikiki Parc’s 120 or so employees will be returning to Halepuna Waikiki with more hiring anticipated, said Bonnie Bise, property spokeswoman.
“With the additional services that Halepuna Waikiki will offer as our new luxury boutique hotel, additional positions will be available. Stay tuned as our website will provide information on employment,” Bise said.
New York-based design firm Champalimaud crafted the look of the revamped boutique luxury hotel. It features new suites, a redone pool and other upgrades, including the Halekulani Bakery & Restaurant, a casual-dining concept featuring a locally-inspired menu, created by a baker at Imperial Hotel Tokyo, which has a partnership with the Halekulani Corp.
