We suffer from myopic short-sightedness when it comes to transportation infrastructure in Hawaii. We never consider the future costs of not doing something now.
We consider it “spending” instead of an investment. And so, our infrastructure crumbles and fails to keep up with demand and is basically an embarrassment.
Stop at Middle Street? Time to remember the big picture.
