Be careful what you wish for. You might get it. Medicare for all and socialized medicine fall into this category.
If we get socialized medicine, it could mean the destruction of one of the best medical systems in the world.
Despite all its faults, medical care in this country is better than any of the world’s socialized-medicine systems.
In England, it can take six months to two years to receive cataract surgery. And non-emergency surgeries in other socialized-medicine countries can take years.
So before you wish for socialized medicine, do some research on those countries that have such systems now.
