Zippy’s purchases land in Las Vegas for its first location outside of Hawaii
Zippy’s is heading to Las Vegas.
The popular, local restaurant chain announced today that it has completed the purchase of vacant land in southwest Las Vegas to build the first Zippy’s Restaurant outside of Hawaii.
Zippy’s Restaurants plans a 7,000-square-foot restaurant, take-out and bakery at the southeast corner of Badura Avenue and Montessouri Street, plus a 12,000-square-foot kitchen. The Las Vegas restaurant is expected to open sometime later next year and will be serving all the favorites, including Zip Pacs, Zippy’s chili, Korean fried chicken and more than 100 more menu items.
“The location in southwest Las Vegas is ideal for Zippy’s Restaurants,” says CEO Jason Higa in a news release. “This area is burgeoning with residential housing. In addition, the location near the 215 Beltway will provide an efficient transportation hub for our central production facility to support the additional Zippy’s stores to open in other parts of Las Vegas.”
The land was purchased from Laurich Properties.
“Laurich Properties is excited to welcome such an iconic Hawaii brand to Las Vegas and we wish them great success,” said president Richard Gordon in a written statement.
