I sure hope someone with a little common sense will stop the rail project until all the rail columns are properly inspected (“Blowing the whistle on rail,” Star-Advertiser, March 20).
Why would anyone consider building anything more, when now it is a public-safety issue? The mayor may want to continue work on the rail project to take care of the investors in Kakaako, but can you imagine if just one column gives way when the train passes over it? It would be a disaster not only for the passengers but for the people below the train.
The other thing is I can’t imagine is Edward Morris risking his reputation by making so many false claims, if at the very least there is some merit to his claims.
I am sure the whole nation is laughing at the Honolulu rail project debacle.
