Regarding the article about the substandard conditions of airports, dams, bridges, schools, coastal areas, stormwater, drinking water and wastewater systems and more, that are in need of major repair to the tune of billions of dollars (“Hawaii’s infrastructure gets D+ in yearly report from engineers society,” Star-Advertiser, March 8): Meanwhile the politicians are talking about a new stadium, new designs at Ala Moana Regional Park and the rail project. All they want is to put their name on some new thing.
The stadium never paid for itself. Ala Moana park is fine as it is; we don’t need a zip line. The rail will never reduce the parking-lot traffic every morning and afternoon.

Enough already!
