An afternoon at the movies with your family is taken to another level — with keiki activities and delicious deals — at Consolidated Theatres’ Ohana Sunday events, Sunday and March 31 at its Kapolei 16, Ko‘olau and Koko Marina locations.
“In celebration of the highly anticipated releases of ‘How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World’ and ‘Dumbo,’ we wanted to provide families with a unique movie-going experience that extends beyond the movie screen,” said Kyler Kokubun, Consolidated Theatres marketing coordinator.
In addition to the movie showings, the Ohana Sunday events will feature lots of kid-friendly fun. At this week’s “How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World” screening, there will be free airbrush tattoos with dragon- and Viking-inspired designs, a meet-and-greet with movie-inspired characters from Storybook Entertainment and promotional giveaways, while supplies last.
The March 31 “Dumbo” showing will feature circus-style performers — including jugglers, magicians and stilt walkers — and free circus animal-shaped balloons, such as elephants and tigers. And what would a movie experience be without proper movie snacks? There will be $6 endless popcorn, $2 hot dogs and a $10 Ohana Snack Pack with endless popcorn, two medium drinks and a Nestle candy.
