Hawaii baseball team gets first win with big eighth inning

Alex Baeza hit a three-run homer and Adam Fogel brought in the go-ahead run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to lift Hawaii to a 9-5 baseball victory over Portland in today’s second game of a doubleheader at Les Murakami Stadium.
In earning a split, the Rainbow Warriors improved to 1-2 in this season-opening series.
The ’Bows trailed 5-2 when Baeza blasted a two-out homer over the wall in right-center to tie it in the eighth.
