The danger to America isn’t lack of a border wall, which President Donald Trump could have funded during the first two years of his term, when he had a Republican Congress.

The threat is Trump’s secret meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, followed by the government shutdown that put the country in disarray and disrupted air traffic controllers, the U.S. Coast Guard and border security from protecting the country.

Trump may be under investigation for profiting from his office and for what some may call treason. Meanwhile, Congress is playing the part of the frog in a hot tub, slowly being cooked because Trump bought off the Republicans with a trillion-dollar- plus tax cut and deregulation that profits business but harm consumers.

It’s time for Congress to emerge from the hot tub and impeach Trump before the next Putin-directed government shutdown and Russian troops arrive.
