It was the most dramatic, controversial finish in the history of Hawaii. Kalina Obrey's miraculous 29-foot 3-point shot at the buzzer would have tied the score at 52 with top-seeded ‘Iolani in the title game of the Snapple/HHSAA Girls Basketball State Championships. After five minutes of review, officials made their determination. The shot came a fraction of a second after time expired and was ruled no basket — even though the horn sounds after the shot is released. It is the correct call, according to the book.
