The trend of legal dramas in South Korea continues with a sequel, “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2.” The original, “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo,” which aired in 2016, starred Shin-yang Park and So-ra Kang.
Park will once again star as lawyer Deul-ho Jo in the sequel, along with actress Hyun-jung Go, who last year starred in another legal drama last year, “Return.” She left that show mid-series due to a disagreement with the producer and this will be her first appearance in a series since.
The new “Mr. Jo” debuted Monday in South Korea on KBS network and is slated for 40 episodes.

He Ra tries to stop In Joon from marrying Soo Hyun. In Joon’s retaliation against his father only creates obstacles at the company. Tae Oh demands Soo Hyun’s kidney for Jenny. He Ra digs into Soo Hyun’s past and finds the truth about her relationship to Tae Oh.

Despite the warning signs, In Joon starts to fall for He Ra. Bits and pieces of information lead He Ra to the truth. He Ra’s finding puts her on an equal footing with Tae Oh. Revealing Jenny’s existence puts He Ra in danger.

Se-ho successfully buries the bad publicity against Sulsong High School by using Bok-su. Soo-jeong gets a permanent position as a teacher, only to find she is assigned to the Wildflower Class, for troubled students.

In-ho begs his uncle, Bok-su, not to tell his mother that he is also in the Wildflower Class. Bok-su risks ruining his plans for revenge because of his constant worry about In-ho. Bok-su and Soo-jeong meet with Se-ho at the place they had been nine years ago.

Wang-shik is given his first task as chief security officer. Sunny, a genius at turning things around, goes back to her life in the palace through a contract with the emperor. Wang-shik stays by Sunny’s side. Yu-ra is weary of Sunny and Kang-hee. Yu-ra is also suspicious of Wang-shik’s true intentions.

Wang-shik is enraged when Dong-shik is put in danger. Sunny discovers the evidence of the grand queen dowager’s murder. Lee Yoon starts to unveil the cruel truth about the royal court.

Chi-woo’s mother-in-law moves to Sungbuk-dong — her calculated move to have her son live next to the Choi family. Chi-woo’s mother-in-law couldn’t shake Chi-woo and her son off. Chi-woo and the Choi family are surprised to find out who their new neighbors are.

A very pregnant woman shows up at Chi-woo’s house looking for her baby’s father. Jun-seung freaks out at seeing her at his house. Jun-seung’s mother tries to kick Eun-joo out while Chi-woo takes pity and tries to help her.
