So much for our illegal-fireworks law. Where in heck is the enforcement personnel or stiff fines and jail time to make one think twice about even attempting to bring in aerials? That will surely put teeth into stopping it at the ports of entry.
Where are the bomb-sniffing canines to go through spot checks as containers are unloaded, or is security at ports nonexistent or ineffective?
It is so sad. My friends tell horror stories involving their dogs. Even doses of tranquilizers were fruitless; think about how acute a dog’s hearing is compared to ours. Being in a war zone-like impact area, they succumb to shell-shock syndrome.
It’s so sad that many out there don’t care about humans’ best friend.
