State transportation officials said the parking lot at the Lanai Lookout along Kalanianaole Highway is closed for filming until Wednesday.
The left lanes of the H-3 Freeway at the Harano Tunnel will also be closed Monday, Nov. 19, and Tuesday Nov. 20, for the film production.
While the H-3 Freeway will remain open, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the left lane of the Honolulu/Halawa bound direction will be closed. From 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the left lane of the Kaneohe/Kailua bound direction will be closed.
State film commissioner Donne Dawson said Legendary Entertainment of California, which has been here in years past for “Godzilla,” is filming “APEX” at both sites.
Motorists are advised to account for extra travel time or to consider using alternate routes such as Likelike Highway or Pali Highway. Real-time traffic information for the H-3 Freeway, Likelike Highway, and Pali Highway is available on GoAkamai.org
