Veteran tourism executive David Uchiyama, who has more than 37 years of senior executive experience in Hawaii’s tourism travel industry, has joined Roberts Hawaii as vice president of sales and marketing.
Uchiyama, the former CEO of now-bankrupt Island Air, also has served in various managerial and leadership positions at Hawaii Gas, Hawaii Tourism Authority and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
“We’re extremely pleased to welcome David to our executive team,” said Percy Higashi, president and chief operating officer of Roberts Hawaii, the state’s largest tour and transportation company. “David possesses an extraordinary wealth of talent and knowledge which we are certain will benefit not only Roberts Hawaii but our valued travel partners throughout the industry as well.”

Orangetheory Fitness has promoted Lora Lagsdon to regional head coach from the head coach position at Kapiolani Studio. She has served as a head trainer at OTF Hawaii since 2016. Prior to that, Lagsdon was a trainer for Island Club and Spa in Kakaako for two years as well as Philadelphia Sports Club for one year. She has nearly 10 years of fitness industry experience.
