State opens database of land information to public

CINDY ELLEN RUSSELL / 2012

The producer of the “Hawaii Five-0” TV show, Eye Productions Inc., pays $600,000 a year to rent the Hawaii Film Studio on 7.4 acres of land owned by the state within a larger 46.7-acre parcel mainly occupied by Kapiolani Community College. This information is included in a new online database where the public can look up who uses state and county land in Hawaii, and how much they pay for the use.
