An open casting call for “Hawaii Five-0” and “Magnum, P.I.” will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former Ryan’s Grill at Ward Center Shops, 1200 Ala Moana Blvd.
Sande Alessi Casting will be hiring locals to fill roles on the two CBS series. All roles are paid and include meals.
There are hundreds of roles to cast for people to portray real surfers, beachgoers, real first responders, military types, featured actors, recurring pool party guests, medical personnel, cast member photo doubles, character types, upscale business types, 18- to 20-year-olds to look younger, all types and all ethnicities, and children ages 6-12. No previous acting experience is needed.
Those attending should arrive on the hour, any hour between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that date. Midday times are advisable to avoid long lines. Bring a 3-by-5 inch current color photo. It does not have to be a professional photo. A current unfiltered “selfie” is acceptable. Photos should be from the waist up with no makeup, no wigs and no sunglasses.
Bring a pen or pencil. No preparation is needed for the audition. The casting company said, “We will be simply have a quick look, have you fill out a registration card, attach your photo and send you on your way.”
Applicants must be 18 years or older and be legal to work in the U.S. except for children under 12. The casting company is not looking for ages 13-17. Parking is available in the garage and surrounding areas.
