Warning signs posted after 2 sharks spotted off Waianae beach
Warning signs were posted today after two sharks were seen outside the break wall at Pokai Bay Beach Park in Waianae.
A 12-foot shark and a 14-foot shark were observed about 50 yards from the break wall, according to Honolulu Ocean Safety officials.
Lifeguards posted signs and are advising beachgoers to stay out of the water until further notice.
The signs will remain up until lifeguards finish their shift at 5 p.m. today. Lifeguards will reassess the situation tomorrow morning to decide whether to post the signs again.
