Fake delivery driver allegedly stole from Las Vegas casinos
LAS VEGAS >> A man is accused of stealing from Las Vegas casinos by posing as a delivery driver.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say 44-year-old Danny Roy Salazar is jailed on suspicion of six counts each of burglary and grand larceny of property.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Salazar allegedly burglarized the Rio, Westgate and Caesars Palace between Jan. 13 and June 8 and stealing an assortment of items including mattresses, televisions and furniture.
Police say Salazar allegedly drove onto a hotel’s property in a box truck and gained access into restricted employee doorways and hallways.
Court records show Salazar has prior convictions in Clark County for possession of stolen property, grand larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle.
It’s unclear if Salazar has a lawyer. He has a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
