Rob Garrett, the world’s greatest Neil Diamond tribute artist, performed “Neil Diamond — The Tribute” to a crowd of 2,000 fans at the Green Valley Ranch in a concert complete with a backup singer and a seven-piece band.
He will be performing the Diamond role as part of the “American Trilogy” show at 7:30 p.m. July 6, 7 and 8 at the South Point. Rounding out “Trilogy” will be Gary Anthony performing as Frank Sinatra and Justin Shandler as Elvis Presley. Tickets are inexpensive — just $20-$30 — so this is a show not to be missed. It will likely sell out quickly as the South Point Showroom only holds 400.
Garrett can also be seen July 17 at the Sun City Summerlin’s Starbright Theater in “Neil Diamond — The Tribute.”
Andiron Steak & Sea is a classy dining establishment in downtown Summerlin not to be missed.
I had the Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye ($69), which was 20 ounces of high quality steak, and the Torchio Mac & Cheese ($10). Both were excellent and the cocktail specialties are scrumptious. Finishing with the key lime pie is a must. The restaurant is owned and operated by husband-wife team Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Canteenwalla.
The service on a recent Thursday night was great. This is a relaxing restaurant, located at 1720 Festival Plaza Drive, away from the hustle and bustle of The Strip. It’s reminiscent of The Hamptons; you’ll forget you’re in Las Vegas. There is even free valet parking.
