Father’s Day is right around the corner. To start off this new Keiki Krafting feature that will run every other week, we present this handprint poem.
There are many different poems that can be found online, here is a simple one.
If you like, you could do it every year to document your child’s growth.
>> Poem:
This is to remind you
when I grow up and get taller,
That once I was quite little
and my hands were much smaller
>> Instructions:
Type out poem on the computer or have your child write the poem on light-colored cardstock or construction paper, leaving space for the handprints.
Use nontoxic acrylic paint and brush a light coat on the palms of the child’s hands.
Press hands onto the cardstock with the poem. Let dry.
Insert print into a frame or use as a Father’s Day card.
