Jocelyn Alo was held to three hits in a three-game sweep of Texas over the weekend.
The only problem for the Longhorns was that those hits were all home runs.
The Oklahoma freshman and 2017 Campbell alumna leads the country with 23 home runs after hitting two solo shots in a 5-4 win over Texas in eight innings on Sunday.
Alo homered in the top of the fourth inning to cut the Texas lead to 2-1 and led off the bottom of the eighth with another solo shot to tie the game 4-4 after Texas scored once in the top of the inning.
The Sooners eventually won on a walk-off single to improve to 44-3 overall and remain undefeated in the Big 12 at 15-0.
Oklahoma received a first-place vote and is ranked third in the country in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Top 25 this week.
Alo ranks 27th in the country hitting .427 and is 11th with an on-base percentage of .548.
She’s also fifth in the nation and leads the conference with 58 RBIs and is second to Kent State’s Holly Speers with a 1.008 slugging percentage.
The Sooners have three games against Oklahoma State this week before playing in the Big 12 tournament that starts May 11.

>> Stephanie Koza, Mililani ’16: The Oregon Tech sophomore won medalist honors at the CCC Championships last week in Bend, Ore. Koza tied teammate Janelle Ferlan for first place at 15-over 159 before winning in a playoff.
SOFTBALL
>> Kristin Frost, Pearl City ’16: The Johnson & Wales sophomore was named the GNAC player of the week on Monday. Frost hit .600 with a 1.500 slugging percentage as the Wildcats split a doubleheader against Eastern Connecticut State on Thursday and swept Rivier on Saturday. Five of her six hits were for extra bases as she finished with three doubles, two homers, three runs scored and 10 RBIs.
>> Ateisha Norton, Kamehameha ’14: The Lewis & Clark senior outfielder was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team last week. Norton led the team with a career-best .385 batting average. Norton, who hit .400 in conference play, also set a career high with seven homers, which ranked fourth in the conference.
>> Montana Vaught, Kamehameha-Maui ’17: The Pacific (Ore.) freshman catcher was named to the All-NWC second team. Vaught played in 36 games and hit .344 with four homers, six doubles, two triples and 17 runs scored. She also drew a team-high 14 walks.
>> Kamalani Dung, Kamehameha ’15: The California junior right-hander allowed two hits in 42⁄3 shutout innings with one walk to improve to 18-3 in a 3-0 shutout of Stanford on Saturday.
>> Shayna Ige, Maryknoll ’15: The Oregon Tech junior drilled her first home run of the season, a three-run-shot to help the Owls defeat Northwest 6-0 in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
>> Alyssa Tobita, Mililani ’14: The Oregon senior won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles and was ahead 1-0 at No. 1 singles when the Ducks clinched a 4-0 win over Utah to open the Pac-12 Tournament on April 25. The Ducks were eliminated 4-3 by UCLA the next day.
>> Ashley Ishimura, Punahou ’15: The Creighton junior swept her match at No. 1 singles and was ahead 5-3 at No. 1 doubles when the Bluejays clinched a 4-0 win over Providence on Thursday in the first round of the Big East Championships. Ishimura won in a tiebreak at No. 1 doubles to help Creighton earn its only point in a 4-1 loss to DePaul on Friday in the quarterfinals.

>> Daniel Pietsch, Seabury Hall ’14: The Georgia Tech junior took third place in the 200 meters with a time of 21.43 seconds at the North Florida Invitational on Friday.
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
>> Kahoa Mikaele, Kailua ’14: The New Orleans redshirt junior was named the school’s student-athlete of the week on April 16 after setting the school record in the women’s discus with a toss of 156 feet. She broke the previous mark of 154 feet, 5 inches that had stood for 18 years. Mikaele also set the school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 174 feet, 71⁄4 inches at the Cowboys Relays on March 10.
>> Patria Vaimaona, Kailua ’14: The Liberty junior finished fourth in the women’s shot put with a throw of 14.21 meters, fifth in the women’s discus with a toss of 46.74 meters and 11th in the hammer throw with an effort of 42.44 meters at the Virginia Grand Prix on Saturday.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
>> Micah Ma’a, Punahou ’15: The UCLA junior was named to the AVCA All-America first team on Monday. Ma’a, who also made the first team as a freshman, ranks second in the nation in assists per set (10.56) and helped the Bruins to the second-best team hitting percentage in the NCAA (.350) entering the NCAA tournament. Ma’a also ranked 10th in the country averaging 0.48 aces per set.
>> Evan Enriques, Kamehameha-Hawaii ’14: The Stanford senior was named to the AVCA All-America second team on Monday. Enriques, who made the first team as a sophomore and was honorable mention last season, was one of just three liberos recognized on the All-America teams. He finished his career ranked fifth all-time at Stanford with 797 career digs and was second in the MPSF with 2.22 digs per set.
