Louis Vuitton is celebrating the debut of its Hawaii-themed Men’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection in style. A retro VW bus traveled from Miami to Los Angeles for a series of spring pop-up events, and is now at Ala Moana Center.
The pop-up van will be parked outside the Louis Vuitton store through Thursday, bringing the collection outside the store to introduce the fashion season in a fun way. Then the bus hits the road Friday and Saturday, popping up from Chinatown to Sandy Beach with informal modeling and selfie opps.
Inspired by designer Kim Jones’ vacation in Hawaii two years ago, the pop-up is stocked with a range of ready-to-wear menswear in colorful prints in lightweight fabric suitable for Hawaii, plus leather goods, accessories and shoes. There is also a selection of exclusive and limited-edition pieces such as an open-sided bomber jacket and Hawaiian shirts, some with sheer, reflective overlays. Shirts start at $1,140.
