Shark warning signs were posted at Laniakea Beach today after a 12-foot shark was seen “eating a turtle,” Ocean Safety officials said.

Lifeguards posted the warning signs at about 5 p.m. and were warning the public.

Lifeguards will remain in the area until dark today and check for the shark again at dawn Thursday.
