Sandy Beach remains closed due to water main break
Sandy Beach Park remains closed this morning due to a water line break affecting service to the park, according to city officials.
The park closed yesterday afternoon and is expected to remain closed for the rest of today until repairs can be finalized and water service restored.
In addition, the fields at Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park and Hans L’Orange Neighborhood Park are closed today due to heavy saturation from rains over the weekend.
“We apologize for the inconvenience that these closures may pose and thank the public for their understanding and patience,” said Nathan Serota, spokesman for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
In Hawaii County, the department of parks and recreation also announced that Mahukona Beach Park will remain closed today as work crews clean debris from high surf that occurred over the weekend.
