Hawaii Girl Scouts can make their best cookie-selling pitches at “Cookie Tank,” 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Tiki’s Grill & Bar. It’s the Waikiki restaurant’s version of “Shark Tank,” the hit ABC television series that features entrepreneurs trying to raise money from investors.
“Door-to-door business and family sales are probably one of the most common forms of cookie sales, but this direct business-to-business is another element that can be explored,” said Tiki’s director of operations Michael Miller in a statement. “We figured this was a fun, fair way to get sales from a lot of different scouts and troops.”
Executive chef Ronnie Nasuti bought thousands of dollars’ worth of Thin Mint cookies last year to produce a Girl Scout Cookie Cheesecake and plans another featured dessert this year.
Girl Scouts should arrive in full uniform and limit their pitch to two minutes; free valet parking is available at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Call 923-8454.
