Police arrest man after boy stabbed in neck in Ala Moana area
Emergency Medical Services transported a 17-year-old boy to a hospital after he was allegedly stabbed in the neck by a man in the Ala Moana area early today.
The stabbing occurred at about 3:10 a.m. on Kapiolani Boulevard, fronting the Pacific Guardian Tower near Club Saigon Passion III. Police said the suspect fled after the stabbing.
Blood stains were observed on a small retaining wall fronting the tower. Police also found a silver Honda Accord, believed to have been driven by the suspect, parked on the Kapiolani Boulevard near the site where blood stains were observed.
There are conflicting reports on the victim’s condition. Police said paramedics transported the teen to a trauma hospital in critical condition and EMS said he was he was transported in serious condition.
Police cordoned the scene with yellow tape to investigate.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., police arrested a male suspect in his late 20s a short distance away on Keeaumoku Street on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
