Jaaron Stallworth, a first-year player with the Hawaii basketball team, has left the program, according to sources.
Stallworth, a transfer out of Yuba College, was UH’s third-string point guard. He did not play in the team’s first three games and was absent from recent practices. He was not on the UH bench for Friday night’s game against Nevada.
The 6-foot-1 sophomore did not respond to requests for comment. UH coach Eran Ganot did not respond to a request for comment prior to playing the Wolf Pack.
Stallworth was expected to compete for UH’s point guard job coming into the season, but his rehab from leg and ankle injuries from his time at Yuba went slower than expected, and he missed all of the team’s offseason workout regimen. He was only cleared to play at the start of full practices in late September.
