Hawaii Red Cross volunteer deployed to Vegas
One volunteer from Oahu has been deployed to Las Vegas to provide assistance in health services, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the American Red Cross of Hawaii.
The American Red Cross is on the ground in Las Vegas working in close coordination with emergency officials following the mass shooting which left 59 dead and more than 500 injured Sunday.
A total of 62 Hawaii Red Cross volunteers from across the isles have also been deployed in past weeks to provide shelter, food, comfort and hope to victims of Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Maria — 34 for Harvey in Texas and Louisiana; 22 for Irma and six for Maria in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
