Isle church will participate in worldwide rosary relay
Honolulu’s Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace will join more than 120 churches in 50 countries Friday on the eighth annual Global Rosary Relay for Priests, a news release said.
The local cathedral will recite the Glorious Mysteries from 11:30 to 11:55 a.m. that day in a continuous, around-the-world, 24-hour recitation of the rosary. Hawaii’s Catholic Television and Media (hictv.com) will provide live streaming.
The rosary relay is the brainchild of Marion Mulhall, an Irish advertising and marketing professional who created the website worldpriest.com in 2003 to affirm priesthood. The first global rosary was held in 2009.
