Prosecutors charged a 40-year-old man on Wednesday for allegedly throwing an object at a 27-year-old woman who has an order of protection against him.

Jeremiah Deguzman was charged with second-degree assault, nine counts of protective order violations and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $20,000.

Deguzman allegedly threw an object at the woman at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday in Waianae.

The woman refused treatment at the scene, police said.

Police found Deguzman nearby and arrested him at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of the above offenses.
