Windward United Church of Christ will present annual college scholarship awards to nine Windward high school students during its 9 a.m. worship May 7.

The Jerome C. and Eva P. Holmes Fund awards the scholarships to students who will graduate this spring in honor of former church pastor Jerome Holmes. The scholarship committee received contributions from church members and the Ananda Fund Hawaii.

The 2017 scholars are Darcie Allred, Sophia Aveau, Mya Hood, Kaylee Alana Miller, ShaRae Niu and Truman Spring, all of Kahuku High and Intermediate School; Faamoemoeola Maileoi and Faasisina Masalosalo of Farrington High; and Victoria Vollert of Kalaheo High.
