Police arrest man in Kalihi domestic assault case
Police arrested a 38-year-old man after he allegedly slapped a 42-year-old woman in the presence of a police officer in Kalihi.
At about 1:24 p.m., police said the suspect and the victim were arguing over a set of vehicle keys. Police responded to the argument at the home on Laumaile Street.
As the officer was leaving the scene, police said the suspect slapped the woman in the face. The assault also occurred in front of a child.
Police arrested the 38-year-old man on suspicion of abuse of a family or household member.
