Bree Dallwitz is cheerful, outgoing and energetic, and her wardrobe reflects that with bright, unique looks she pulls together differently so that no two outfits are alike.
Head of a public relations/marketing agency that works both in Hawaii and her native Australia, she describes her style as “a little boho” and “colorful.”
“That would be the one thing that everyone says to me,” she said. “I’m a happy person, and I guess I dress to reflect my mood. I’m not shy with color.”
Whether it’s a bright-yellow top or standout print, Dallwitz, who grew up in Melbourne, embraces colors down to her shoes, which include a Rollie Derby oxford in red, hot pink, yellow and green stripes. She goes for vintage cuts and eclectic jewelry, including handcrafted necklaces from the Australian brand Emeldo.
Her mother is her greatest style inspiration.
“She has an incredible eye for style and this amazing ability to know what I like,” Dallwitz said. “The outfits I get most complimented on are those that she has gifted me. I know, I’m lucky!”
Dallwitz elaborated on her sense of style in an interview and via email.

FAVORITE OUTFIT
“I don’t have one specific favorite. I dress according to the weather, the occasion or how I’m feeling. I tend to buy pieces that I end up keeping for a really, really long time, and over the years I find myself wearing them in different ways, whether it’s simply changing up the style of shoe, adding different jewelry pieces or a belt.”
MUST-HAVE ACCESSORIES
“I love to find unique pieces often when I travel or when I’m home visiting family. We have some incredibly talented designers from Australia. I love Emeldo’s handcrafted bold necklaces, belts by Smena Melbourne and a good pair of comfortable and sparkly shoes by Gorman or Rollie.”
FOR COMFORT
“Comfort is always a top priority for me. If it’s not comfortable or I know I won’t be able to walk properly in the shoes, I won’t wear them. At home you’ll find me in a tee, plaid pajama pants and ugg Boots, or in public you’ll most likely see me in my Nobody Denim jeans (the most comfortable jeans ever) and a men’s tee by a local brand such as Milo or Salvage Public.”
PARTY ATTIRE
“When it comes to a party, I tend to go classic and wear black. Nothing beats a cute little black dress with some fun (and walkable) heels and a clutch.”
FASHION PHILOSOPHY
“The most important thing to me is to wear what makes you happy and what you feel comfortable in. Don’t be dictated by trends. You don’t have to spend lots of money to look fabulous. It’s about styling and confidence.”
