Suspect identified in Kahaluu shooting
Police reports identify Glendon Young, 42, as the man arrested Saturday after allegedly shooting at police officers in Kahaluu.
The shotgun round missed the three officers but left a police car with several holes on the left passenger side. There were no injuries.
Young — who has a history of violent crimes — was arrested on suspicion of three counts of first-degree attempted murder, carrying a loaded firearm and resisting arrest. He also faces two drug charges and two charges as a felon possessing a firearm.
The incident occurred sometime between 3:50 and 4 p.m. and caused police to temporarily close Kamehameha Highway between Hunaahi and Hunalepo streets.
Young has a criminal record dating back to 1992. In 2014 he was sentenced to four additional years of probation after being charged with escape. He was serving a sentence for robbery and possession of a firearm. In 1995, in a robbery case, he was sentenced to 20 years’ confinement with a four-year mandatory minimum sentence.

Ice man with neck tatoos and he is not Maori. Send him to the mainland jails.
actually, send him to a prison in Latin America. That might set him straight. USA prisons are country clubs in comparison to those prisons in Latin America.
How come the officers that were shot at didn’t empty their service weapons on this punk?
Would’ve saved money on incarceration.
They be rethinking that one. If the shot gun didnt jam a lot of folks would have ended up hurt.
