The annual banquet for the Hawaii women’s volleyball team is set for Jan. 29, at the Ala Moana Hotel’s Hibiscus Ballroom.

Tickets are $60 for the general public, $55 for Rainbow Wahine Booster Club members. Table sponsorships also are available, ranging from $440 to $550. The cost to sponsor a player is $60.

The deadline for RSVPs and full payment is Jan. 20. Late registration at $65 per person is available through Jan. 26.

The event begins with registration at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6, followed by the program. For information, call Stanley Ching at 521-1456.

Fed Cup at Royal Lahaina seeks volunteers

Fed Cup organizers are seeking volunteers for the U.S. vs. Germany tennis matchup set for Feb. 11-12 at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of two shifts between Feb. 5 and 13. Each shift is approximately 4-6 hours but varies according to responsibility and duration of matches.

Gymnastics in Paradise Invitational at Aiea

Hawaiian Island Twisters Gymnastics Club is hosting the Gymnastics in Paradise Invitational Meet today and Sunday at the Aiea District Park Gymnasium. More than 250 female gymnasts from four countries and six states will compete in the event, which starts at 8 a.m.

Level 10 and elite Open Level gymnasts will compete today at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per day for adults and $5 for children.
